Stakeholder Priorities

In order to find commonalities among user groups and sites, each participant group was asked to prioritize the needs of their site or the needs of the district as a whole. These priorities become data points for the Board of Trustees and District Leadership to consider when deciding future actions. One group’s priorities do not imply more weight or importance than another, but rather provide different perspectives.

During a Board Workshop in April 2024, the Board of Trustees reviewed all of the school site priorities and District staff priorities and participated in an initial prioritization process resulting in the prioritization of specific scope categories, older school sites and two district facilities. This prioritization effort, outlined below, did not target a specific dollar amount, but rather focused on the highest needs.

  • Paul Ecke Central, Ocean Knoll, and Capri Elementary Schools need attention.
  • Flora Vista and Park Dale Lane Elementary Schools need new ‘front doors’.

  • Site Utilities, Toilets and Energy Efficiency need to be addressed.

  • Replace wood chips with rubber surfacing at play structures.
