The mission of Nimitz Elementary School is to educate the whole child by focusing on literacy, ensuring a joy of lifelong learning, incorporating mutual respect for our rich diversity, and encouraging active parent involvement. 

We place an emphasis on collaboration, cooperation, critical thinking, and creativity in all teaching and learning at Nimitz. Social skills are developed with an emphasis on problem solving and guidance to help students become responsible, accountable, and caring citizens of our ever changing global society.
